gatherDocs was born when a couple of enterprising web developers from Philadelphia, PA, began creating a custom web application for a client who wanted to store and share lesson plans and other documents online. We quickly realized that the tool we were building was powerful enough to do much, much more—but we weren’t sure what form it would take until another client complained about how much paperwork it took to hire hourly employees. “The service industry is still in the twentieth century,” he moaned.
